FIFA Sanction - What Was Nigeria's Football Body Thinking?
FIFA has issued a sanction against the Super Eagles for fielding Abdulahi Shehu during the match against Algeria, their last before qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He was first yellow-carded in the team's first-round qualifier against Swaziland in 2015, before being carded again in a match against Zambia. The two cards made it mandatory for him to miss one game.
