Terror has once again been visited on the country. An Administration Police (AP) chaplain was killed and 14 other people seriously injured, when suspected Al Shabaab sympathisers fired a rocket-propelled grenade at a church inside an Administration Police compound in Garissa town.

Three of the victims who were critically injured were later airlifted to Nairobi for further treatment. The attackers reportedly drove into the compound in a private car and attacked worshippers at a Sunday service at the Anti-Banditry Unit AP camp in Garissa. A massive security operation was launched soon after, with gunfire reported as the officers repulsed the assailants. Abdi Osman has that top story.
