Mugabe Family Snubs Mausoleum, Takes Body for Village Burial

The family of the late former president Robert Mugabe will now bury him at his home village in Zvimba. Mugabe's burial place had been a subject of contestation between the family and government, with the former insisting that his wishes were to be buried at his rural home while the latter wanted him buried at Heroes Acre. The government has been building a mausoleum at the national burial site, in accordance with an earlier request from the family.
