At least 61% of students attending public schools have been turned away from classes for non-payment of fees despite government's directive not to send learners away, the Zimbabwe Vulnerability Assessment Committee has said. The country's economy is caught in a crisis with shortages of fuel, medicine, and currency as well as hyperinflation which has seen many families living on a single meal a day.
