Jobs, Small Business Support Key for Strained Nigeria Economy

Pressure is mounting on Nigeria's economy to create jobs as COVID-19 tightens its grip. The Minister of Labour Festus Keyamo has been complaining of growing pressure from certain political quarters on the 774,000 job allocations he received from the government which needs to be spread across all 36 states. These will allow for youth development and training. Meanwhile the government's N-Power job creation iniatitve for youth is also experiencing strain as the government shed 50,000 applications to the programme.
