Kenya's Navy Put Through Its Paces to Boost Blue Economy

The Kenyan naval special operations squadron has received a major boost to its sea and land warfare operations after more marine commandos joined the team. Training that includes operational aspects, amphibious operations, land warfare, close quarter combat, as well as combat search and rescue have been undertaken. The navy is expected to help create a stable environment in the blue economy, which is the preservation of the marine environment. It forms part of the Kenyatta administration's Big Four Agenda, which includes growing the economy and food security.
