'Corruption Fuels War In Sudan'

Experts discussing the war in Sudan at a business forum have said that it's fueled by corruption - pointing to the involvement of foreign countries "given their vested interests". The participants called on the U.S. to exert more pressure on these nations to cease their support for the war.

Earlier this month, the UN and its partners appealed for a combined US$4.1 billion to meet the most urgent humanitarian needs of civilians in the war-torn nation, and those who have fled to neighbouring countries.
