Somali and AU Operation Kills Scores of Militants - Army

The Somali Ministry of Defence has said about 70 Al-Shabaab fighters were killed in a joint military operation carried out by the national army and soldiers from the African Union peacekeeping mission and international partners. In a statement, the ministry described the operation as "successful and well-planned".
