Ethiopian Airlines ‘a Competitor on the World Stage’ - U.S. Envoy
U.S. Ambassador to Ethiopia Ervin Massinga has said the airline has spent decades expanding its network and services while positioning itself for continued future growth. In an interview, the U.S. envoy touted the carrier's long-standing partnerships with American companies, saying firms like Boeing and GE have worked closely with Ethiopian Airlines and are expected to remain key partners.
"Ethiopian Airlines is no longer simply a regional airline. It is a competitor on the world stage," the Ambassador said. He emphasized the "deep" and "solid" relationships between U.S. firms and the airline, pointing to their continued cooperation even during challenging periods like the COVID-19 pandemic.
