The Government today made feeble attempts to pacify striking doctors, by offering them some 1.9 billion shillings in allowances increment. The offer comes on the third day of the nationwide doctors strike that has seen operations in public hospitals grind to a halt. The doctors are demanding a 300% salary increment, as well as an increase in their allowances.
