Gauteng Health Dept Shores Up Efforts Against COVID-19

The Gauteng Health team and the team from Gauteng Infrastructure and Property Management have been working around the clock to ensure the site is ready to take COVID-19 cases. The Gauteng Department of Health has tested more than 13 500 people and screened around 1.2 million people for Covid-19 in the province, as it prepares for the move to Level 4 of the national lockdown. In a statement, the department said since embarking on its testing campaign at the beginning of April, about 8% of the province's population has been screened for the virus.
