A Conversation with Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo Ghana, one of the most enduring and prosperous democratic partners in West Africa, is a regional leader and critical member of ECOWAS. As West Africa and the Sahel face a wave of extraconstitutional movements and growing political instability, the United States and its partners are seeking ways to best support Ghana and other longstanding democracies in the region to promote and sustain democracy as a governance model. Join USIP for a conversation with Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo on ways to address governance opportunities and challenges in West Africa. The discussion will also examine Ghana's critical role as a regional leader in promoting peace, stability and sustainable development.
