Honourable Souleiymane Cisse, Minister of Planning of the Republic of Guinea visits the ACBF Secretariat

Hon. Souleiymane Cisse, Minister of Planning of the Republic of Guinea recently visited the ACBF Secretariat.  He met with an ACBF team to discuss capacity development issues in Guinea and the possibilities and means that ACBF could assist the country with the development of a comprehensive capacity development strategy.

ACBF expressed willingness to assist the Government of Guinea with its capacity development planning in collaboration with other partners who are also assisting the country.  This would call for a holistic approach to tackling the capacity gaps and challenges that Guinea is facing.

The ACBF team and the Minister also discussed on the capacity development of others sectors, besides government, namely  civil society and private sector for a comprehensive approach and fruitful policy dialogue  by all sectors in Guinea.

Other issues discussed in the meeting included a briefing on the recently held Kigali Summit and Kigali Resolution, the recently launched Africa Capacity Indicators (ACIR 2011)  and the membership of the Republic of Guinea to ACBF.
