Africa: No Mo Ibrahim Prize for 2010

The Mo Ibrahim Foundation has decided that nobody will win the 2010 Mo Ibrahim Prize, which is awarded to a former African head of state who was democratically elected, and who served out his constitutionally defined term of office.

Former South African president Thabo Mbeki, considered by some as a natural contender for the Index prize, has again been overlooked.
