South African Editors Condemn Jailing Journos

The South African National Editors’ Forum has spoken out against the detention of journalists and photographers by correctional services officers after taking pictures of prison warders beating a prisoner, who later died. They were on an official visit to the Groenpunt Maximum Security Prison in the Free State.
