Suspected Militants Destroy Nigerian Town

The Governor of Borno State Kashim Shettima has again met President Goodluck Jonathan, hours after at least 47 people were killed by suspected members of the militant Boko Haram in Bama town. At a previous meeting, Shettima had called for more resources because "Boko Haram are better armed and are better motivated than our own troops".
