The country's legislature and judiciary have locked horns over a motion by MPs calling for an inquiry into what has come to be known as the "oil cash bonanza", when president Yoweri Museveni paid bonuses to a team of 42 selected government officials in "recognition of their efforts" to recover capital gains tax in an international case.
