A group of young people chanting pro-Jubilee Party songs initially blocked the entrance to the Meru rally venue as the opposition leaders' motorcade entered the town, but the Nasa leaders later received a rousing welcome at the town centre where they addressed supporters.
Kenya's new National Super Alliance (NASA) formed by opposition leaders Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, Raila Odinga, and Moses Wetang'ula held a well-attended rally in Meru County.
