Relief as South Africa Extends Zimbabwean Special Permits

The South African government will extend work permits for nearly 200,000 Zimbabwe Special Permit holders in the neighbouring country. Issued in 2014, the permits were scheduled to expire on December 31 this year. The initial special dispensation was approved in 2009 to document illegal immigrants.
