Zimbabweans woke up at the weekend to read in Harare's daily, The Herald, that eight provincial structures of the ruling Zanu-PF had called on President Robert Mugabe and his wife, Grace, to step down from their party roles, and that the army had approved a big anti-Mugabe rally in Harare on Saturday. To see such news in the newspaper prompted an opposition politician and former cabinet minister in a coalition government to tweet that he never thought he would see the day.
