Chamisa's Demand For Voter Photos Unreasonable, Court Rules
There is no legitimate reason for the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission to issue a voters' roll with photographs to political parties or any member of public, the High Court has ruled. This follows opposition leader Nelson Chamisa's demand to get a voters' roll with pictures of all registered voters to prevent rigging. Chamisa's request has been described by observers as an intimidation tactic.
