Mnangagwa Fires Health Minister Over Shady COVID-19 Kits Deal

This comes after Obadiah Moyo was arrested in June 2020 and accused of abuse of office after he allegedly corruptly issued U.S.$60 million in tenders to supply COVID-19 test kits and medical equipment to obscure companies linked to the political elite. He became the second minister in President Emmerson Mnangagwa's government to be arrested over corruption with the other being former Tourism minister, Prisca Mupfumira. If found guilty, he could face up to 15 years in jail.
