Agents Arrest Protesters After Zimbabwe's Streets Cleared

Harare is deserted as security agents enforce the country's lockdown during the planned July 31 protests. Armed soldiers and anti-riot police have cleared people off the streets of the capital and forced shops to close. Activists have called for national street rallies against corruption in government and economic hardships. Meanwhile, the ruling ZANU-PF party labelled the MDC Alliance a terrorist group, while President Emmerson Mnangagwa says the protest organisers want to overthrow his government.
