Covid-19 'Pillaging' Rears its Ugly Head in South Africa

Archbishop Desmond Tutu has slammed allegations that the nation's defence against Covid-19 have been turned into business opportunities for the politically connected. This comes after the confirmation of over half a million cases of Covid-19 in the country and amid claims that a number of well-connected politicians have landed in the spotlight for alleged cronyism and nepotism in the awarding of contracts to supply personal protective equipment (PPE).
