Burna Boy, Wizkid, Diamond Platnumz Vie For BET Award

Nigerian musicians Wizkid and Burna Boy and Tanzania's Diamond Platnumz, have been nominated for the Best International Act category at the 2021 edition of the BET Awards. The trio will slug it out with Aya Nakamura (France), Emicida (Brazil), Headie One (UK) Young T and Bugsey (UK), and Youssoupha (France). Burna Boy has won the award twice, in 2019 and 2020, while Wizkid won it in 2012. 

This is the third time that Diamond Platnumz is nominated for the award after a nomination in 2014 and 2016 in the category of Best International Acts Africa. The ceremony will be held on June 27, 2021 and will have a live audience after being hosted virtually in 2020 because of the novel coronavirus.
