End of Podium Dream for Africa at the Women's World Cup

After South Africa, Zambia and Nigeria's exit from the Women's World Cup, Morocco - the continent's last hope - was booted out by France in a knock-out round of 16 game on August 8, 2023. Playing in their first ever knock-out match, the Atlas Lionesses found themselves overwhelmed by the European heavyweights at Hindmarsh Stadium.
