Chad Launches Triple-Vaccine Campaign - Malaria, Rotavirus, PCV13

Chad has rolled out a triple vaccine program, including the R21 malaria vaccine, marking a major step forward in protecting the health and well-being of its children.

The country is rolling out PCV13, rotavirus, and malaria vaccines, targeting 19.7 million children aged six months to five years, with the malaria vaccine reaching 168,522 children in 28 priority districts.

The introduction of the malaria vaccine into the national immunization program makes Chad the 14th country to do so under the Immunization Agenda 2023. In 2023, Chad reported about 1.75 million malaria cases, 36.4% of which were children under the age of five.
