African Stars Shine in 2026 BET Awards Nominations
African music stars Wizkid, Asake, Burna Boy, Tems and Tyla have earned major nominations at the 2026 BET Awards, highlighting Africa's growing influence on global entertainment.
Tems leads the African nominees with three nominations, including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and Viewer's Choice Award, while South African singer Tyla received two nods for her hit 'Chanel.' Wizkid and Asake were jointly nominated in the Best Group category, and Burna Boy earned recognition for his collaboration with rapper Gunna.
The 2026 BET Awards will air live on Sunday, June 28, from Los Angeles.
