Mohamed Brahmi, a leading critic of Tunisia's ruling Islamists and an MP, is shot dead outside his home in Tunis in the second such assassination this year, with fingers again pointed at the authorities. Crowds of furious and grief-stricken supporters gather at the hospital where he was taken.
