The Elders March in Honour of Madiba's Legacy

Nelson Mandela Day celebrations were held across South Africa and in many parts of the world on Tuesday. The Elders have launched a year-long campaign to support civil society groups and governments on issues of peace, justice, health and equality, as part of the continuation of the legacy of former President Nelson Mandela. They announced their campaign in Cape Town to mark their tenth anniversary. The Elders consist of a group of former globally respected diplomats, statesmen and women who were put together by President Mandela to deal with global socio-economic instability and peace.
