Sudan Hikes Electricity Prices Without Notice

The government has decided to stop the electricity increases it implemented without notice after an outcry from citizens who were unpleasantly surprised when prices were hiked by over 150 percent without consultation.

Government later acknowledged the increase but said it only applies to those who consume more than 600 Kilowatts a month.
