South Africa Moves to Address Mine Shootings

The government announced a national week of mourning, including a task team to probe labour issues and a committee to provide support to relatives who were involved in the deadly clashes that killed 34 people. Thirty-three percent of miners resumed working, while some of the 260 arrested workers face murder charges.
