Liberia Approved for U.S. Millennium Compact to Fund Development

Liberia has been approved for $256 million in financing from the Millennium Challenge Corporation - a U.S. government agency that awards five-year compacts after a competitive process to countries meeting rigorous performance guidelines.  The funds are allocated for a range of development projects including electricity, road maintenance, reforms and capacity building.
