Magufuli's Ban on Foreign Trips 'Hurt Air Travel in Tanzania'

The Tanzania Airports Authority says passenger and cargo traffic has fallen in the past two years despite a 1.5% increase in aircraft movements. TAA acting director general Richard Mayongela attributes the negative performance to the government's ban on foreign trips by public officials.
