Mnangagwa Names VP Chiwenga As New Zimbabwe Health Minister

Zimbabwe's Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has been appointed the health minister, a month after his predecessor Obadiah Moyo was fired over corruption allegations related to Covid-19 testing kits. In his new role, Chiwenga will be required to "stabilise, restructure and reform" the national healthcare system, the government said in a statement. Meanwhile, some Zimbabweans are living in fear after they allegedly received death threats following attempts to organise a solidarity march in Windhoek over multiple accusations of violations of human rights and corruption by the ruling Zanu-PF.
