A fire on 12 March 2017 destroyed 3,500 homes and displaced 15,000 people in Imzamo Yethu, a township in Hout Bay, Cape Town. GroundUp's Ashraf Hendricks spoke to residents. The biggest need as of 13 March is building supplies and tools so they can rebuild their homes.
