Zimbabwe Responds to South African Health Official's Controversial Comments

Former Zimbabwean Deputy Prime Minister, Arthur Mutambara, has called on African leaders to ensure that the political and economic climate in their respective countries are improved so that their citizens don't have to leave their countries. Mutambara was responding to the debate around what Limpopo Health Health, Phophi Ramathuba said to a Zimbabwean citizen, who was admitted to a hospital in Limpopo. ZANU-PF spokesperson in South Africa has criticised Dr Ramathuba for her statement, wherein she expressed frustration on the failure of the Zimbabwean government to pay the bill for those who received medical treatment in South Africa, as agreed by the two countries.
