South Africa Says Libya Lied Over Killing

Although South African photographer Anton Hammerl was shot in the Libyan desert on April 5, the Libyan government told its South African counterpart at "the highest level" that he was alive, the South African foreign minister said on Friday.

Anton Hammerl, a South African photographer believed to be missing in Libya, had reportedly been killed by pro-Gaddafi soldiers.
