Ugandans Will Now Pay Less For Mobile Money

Uganda's Cabinet has agreed to cut taxes for withdrawals on mobile money transactions. The mobile money and social media taxes came in to effect on July 1, causing an outcry among users.

ICT and National Guidance Minister Frank Tumwebaze says that the decision meant that Uganda's drive towards achieving a cashless economy remained on track.
