On August 2, 2019, Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu Musenze sentenced controversial Makerere University academic Stella Nyanzi to 18 months in prison, after she was convicted of cyber harassment when she insulted President Yoweri Museveni, First Lady Janet Museveni and his late mother, Esteri Kokundeka, in a Facebook post.
