Dozens Killed As Floods Leave Trail of Destruction in Angola
Twelve out of 18 provinces have been hit by a violent downpour which left at least 40 people dead and caused widespread destruction across the southern African country. Authorities say more than 2,400 families have been affected, warning that drinking water and electricity supplies had been cut off in some areas. The rain comes on the heels of a severe regional drought caused by years of erratic rainfall and record-high temperatures.
