Liberian President Boakai Cancels Diplomatic Appointments

The Liberian government has announced the cancellation of several diplomatic appointments at its missions around the world. Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah said President Joseph Boakai took the action to "align the roles with the country's governance needs and foreign policy direction".

Piah said the process of recalling the diplomats will be "dignified" and that all who served will be "properly notified and thanked for their respective services to the country".
