2026 World Cup Qualifiers - African Nations Enter Crucial Stage

With four rounds of matches already played to secure qualifications for the 2026 global soccer showpiece to be hosted by the U.S, Canada, and Mexico, Match Day 5 has lined up some exciting encounters.

Four exciting matches are scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, with Liberia taking on top of the table Tunisia in Group H. Cameroon will be looking to extend their lead in Group D when they take on bottom-of-the-table Eswatini, while the Central Africa Republic seeks to climb up the group when they take on third-placed Madagascar.

This week a total of nine encounters will take place across the continent, including Zimbabwe playing host to Benin, Malawi welcoming the Brave Warriors of Namibia, and Cape Verde taking on Mauritius.

On Friday the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be looking to secure their first win when they take on top of the table Rwanda in Group C, while South Africa plays host to Lesotho in the same group.
