Makerere Students Invent Explosives Detonator

Following the July 2010 bomb attacks at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds and the ever increasing terrorist threats that are in Uganda, Makerere University found itself at the forefront of yet another groundbreaking invention. This time a devise to detect and possibly disarm an explosive. The Robot constructed by the college of engineering, design, art and technology is the first of its kind in the region-and will go by the name of 'Explosive Ordinance Disposal'.
