'Stand Firm' with Kenya, Somalia in Terror Fight

Ambassador Johnnie Carson - former U.S. assistant secretary of state for African affairs - writes that the terror attack on Westgate Mall in Nairobi, was "not aimed at Kenya alone", but an indirect attack against Somalia's neighbors and the countries sending soldiers to the AU mission in Somalia. He calls on African countries to "stand firm ... to defeat al Shabaab and the violent extremists who have joined it".
