By developing and implementing adaptation strategies and measures that will improve agricultural production and rural livelihoods no matter what climate change brings. The African Development Bank funds, via a GEF grant, the Climate Adaptation for Rural Livelihoods and Agriculture initiative (CARLA). The initiative is helping farmers adapt to changing weather conditions in some of the vulnerable districts in Malawi.
