Tanzanian President Commits to Complete John Magufuli's Projects
President Samia Suluhu Hassan has reaffirmed her government's commitment to implementing all the development projects initiated by her predecessor, the late John Magufuli. On the first anniversary of Magufuli's death, the president called for unity, peace and calm as her government moves to execute strategic projects, including the Tanzanite Bridge which has reached completion and will soon be unveiled.
Other projects undertaken in the Geita region include the launch of the Hapa Kazi Tu ferry which operates between the Chato and Nkome suburbs, the Chato bus terminal, as well as the Chato Airport. "All the projects regardless of their scale will be implemented," Suluhu Hassan emphasised.
Magufuli died on March 17, 2021 after a short illness and was buried at his hometown, Chato.
