[2019 Sunhak Peace Prize Laureate]  Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, the President of African Development Bank. My vision for agriculture in Africa is that, Africa will dominate agriculture, but via agricultural industrialization, adding value to everything that we produce. Today, Africa produces 65% of all the, in fact, 75% of all the cocoa beans in the world to make chocolates. I love chocolates. But, Africa only accounts for 2% of the market for chocolates, which is 100 billion dollars. And you can see, you produce 75% of the raw material, but you account for 2% of all the revenue of all the products. That's not the way that Africa should develop. So, my vision is that Africa should add value to everything that it produces. And, also that agricultural industrialization should be used to open up our rural areas with vast infrastructure that will bring life, that will bring new wealth to people in the rural areas.
