Government may have to compensate the families of the victims of the Life Esidimeni tragedy with more than R280-million. A settlement agreement has been reached between government and lawyers representing patients who lost their lives. But family lawyers are arguing for more compensation for breach of constitutional rights. The final figure will be determined by the arbitrator, Judge Dikgang Moseneke.
