The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Cote d'Ivoire 2023 Qualifiers are drawing to an end, but still producing highly entertaining clashes for fans of the beautiful game!

A dramatic turn of events at the Grand Stade de Marrakech, Morocco saw Gambia secure a dramatic qualification following their 2-2 draw with DR Congo on Sunday, September 10.

Mauritania qualified for the third time after a dramatic 2-1 victory over Gabon on Saturday, September 9.

Guinea-Bissau concluded their Group A campaign with a 2-1 victory over Sierra Leone at the Stade du 24 Septembre in Bissau, to put the icing on the cake on their qualification to the continental showpiece.

Mozambique will return to the tournament for the first time in over a decade, after a thrilling 3-2 win over Benin, also on Saturday September 9.

Host Cote d'Ivoire concluded their last day of the tournament qualifiers with a clinical display that saw them edge Lesotho at a packed Laurent Pokou Stadium in San Pedro.

Victor Osimhen grabbed a hat-trick as Nigeria signed off their qualifying campaign with a thumping 6-0 win over Sao Tome on September 10.

CAF agreed to postpone the qualifier between Morocco and Liberia following the earthquake in Morocco which resulted in more than 2,800 people losing their lives and hundreds injured.

At the end of the current round of qualifiers, which end on September 12, 2023, all 24 African nations who qualify for Africa's biggest football spectacle will be officially confirmed.

The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2023 will be hosted by Cote d'Ivoire from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
